UNMH Jobs is seeking a RN Per Diem II for the PreOp/PACU at SRMC in New Mexico. The role requires at least one year of related experience, NM RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. You will provide direct patient care across age groups and participate in orientation and precepting of new staff.

Expect a complex clinical environment with emphasis on patient safety, policy adherence, and collaboration with the care team. Per diem shifts, day hours, and weekend requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate
• Bachelor's Degree
• Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
• Nursing
• 1 year directly related experience
• Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
• RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
• Nationally Certified in area of specialty
• PALS
• TNCC and/or ENPC

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
• Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies
• Collaborate with healthcare team to implement care plans and discharge planning
• Assist with tests and procedures and obtain proper consent
• Participate in orientation and preceptor responsibilities
• Assist with emergency measures and maintain patient safety
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Answer calls and triage as per policy
• Administer medications, including IV meds
• Maintain safe environment and promote patient safety
• Engage in ongoing professional development
• Identify and report safety concerns
