Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a Pediatric RN for a 13-week night-shift assignment in Oklahoma City. You will provide specialized nursing care for diverse pediatric patients, administer medications, manage IV infusions, and monitor responses to treatments.

The role requires a current RN license, 3+ years in Level 1 trauma, and experience with trach/high flow and infusion. BLS and PALS are required, with floating to NICU and other units as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Level 1 trauma experience.
• Experience with trach and high flow.
• Familiarity with infusion.
• Current RN license in state, or multi-state compact license.
• BLS certification, PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting for varied pediatric patients.
• Document patient responses to interventions and treatments.
• Note changes in physician orders and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Monitor and obtain physiological data; intervene as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products.
• Communicate care plans to patients and families and coordinate discharge needs.
• Float to acute care units as required, including NICU with lower acuity work.

Description:Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients.Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.Administers medication as prescribed.Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.Delivers patient care competently.Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.Delegates tasks to support staff.Performs other duties as assigned.Must be able to float to acute care units including surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty, and step-down units.Must have experience floating to lower acuity needs in the NICU.
