Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking an RN for the Pediatric ICU/ CVPICU in a 60% FTE weekend position at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. The role involves caring for critically ill children with a multidisciplinary team and requires RN licensure in WI or a compact state, with CPR/BLS and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Six months nursing experience in inpatient units or current participation in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in the PICU/CVPICU.
• Care for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical problems including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.
• Provide high quality care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including complex congenital heart defects, Ventricular Assist Devices, and heart transplant.

RN- Pediatric ICU- Weekender (Finance)

60% FTE Weekender position with 12-hour Day/Evening shifts every Saturday and Sunday from 0700-1930. You will be working at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. This position is eligible for shift and weekender differentials depending on hours worked.

Pay

• Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening and $5/hour night as applicable for hours worked.
• Weekender Differential: $10/hour as applicable for hours worked during core-weekender hours.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU / CVPICU

• Join our remarkable highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team, to provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in this state-of-the art 21-bed unit.
• Provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of both medical and surgical problems. Problems include: acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi system organ failure, and ECMO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

• Inpatient Units: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
• Relevant RN experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
• PALS within 6 months Required
• Relevant certification Preferred
