Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus in Cleveland is seeking an experienced RN to join the M43/M53 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). You will deliver direct nursing care, monitor and update patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with a skilled team to support children and families.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN), current RN licensure, and BLS certification; one year of acute care RN experience or military RN

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.

The M43/M53 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides medical/surgical, transplant-related, congenital heart and chemotherapy services to children of all ages.

As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to help them feel comfortable, safe and secure throughout treatment.

A caregiver in this position works 12 hours shifts| 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am.
  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • One year of current Acute Care RN experience OR military RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Pediatric ICU experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
