Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Progressive Care Unit in Hamtramck, MI. This RN role includes leadership and collaboration with the nursing team, and direct patient care responsibilities across a group of patients and their families.

The RN will establish collaborative relationships with physicians, delegate and evaluate care, and monitor patient progress towards discharge. Night shift availability is required, with 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM hours.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan is required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
