Incredible Health in Detroit, MI seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for PCU/Stepdown. Responsibilities include monitoring medium to high acuity patients, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and therapists to ensure optimal care. Requires ADN or higher, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS; EMR proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active RN license.
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.
