Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PCU – Progressive Care Unit. The RN will provide professional nursing care on a dedicated unit and coordinate care planning with other disciplines.

The role includes directing bedside nursing activities and using the nursing process to meet patient needs, with potential shift leadership responsibilities. Arizona RN license, CPR, and ACLS/PALS as applicable are required or obtained within orientation timelines.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Arizona.
• CPR certification mandatory; ACLS as applicable by facility/department.
• PALS or ENPC may be required within 90 days of orientation.
• L&D, NICU, ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D ACLS required on orientation.
• Bariatrics and Wound Care certifications or training may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit and coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Direct bedside nursing care using the nursing process and adapt to patient needs.
• Supervise and direct other healthcare staff; assess, plan, delegate and evaluate care.
• Conduct hourly rounding and ensure safety guidelines and best practices are followed.
• May be assigned as shift lead or in charge for a shift when needed.
