Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.
• ADN, Diploma or BSN required.
• New graduate RNs educated online may not meet minimum qualifications for Lexington Medical Center.
• Post-graduation experience is required by certain units unless RN residency program completed.

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Educates patient and family about condition, medications, and self-care.
• Acts as patient/family advocate and maintains confidentiality.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Maintains safety and adheres to infection-control policies.
• Promotes continuous quality care and participates in team problem-solving.
