Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Grapevine seeks a registered nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), a fast-paced setting with high-acuity patients. You will perform detailed clinical assessments, create and adjust care plans, and coordinate with the care team to ensure timely, safe patient outcomes.

The unit operates 32 beds with a 1:3 or 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, FT days from 7am to 7pm. Requirements include 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele experience; PCU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• RN license
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
• Requirements: 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Tele; PCU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• As an RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members. Empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
• Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
