Cynet HealthStaff is recruiting an RN for a 7th-floor intermediate care unit specializing in cardiac and stroke patients. You will read and respond to cardiac rhythms, manage telemetry, and participate in a high-acuity care environment.
Shifts run days from 07:00 to 19:30, with a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio and every-other-weekend requirements. Prior telemetry and cardiac/stroke experience is essential.

Description:Position in the 7th-floor intermediate care unit focusing on cardiac and stroke patients.All nurses must be proficient in reading, identifying, and reacting to cardiac rhythms.Understanding rhythms is crucial for patient safety.Shifts are days from 07:00 to 19:30.Weekend requirements include every other weekend.Patient ratios are 1:4.Experience in telemetry and cardiac/stroke nursing is essential.First-time travelers are accepted.Experience with managing cardiac drips without titration is necessary.Unit cares for various diagnoses, including telemetry, stroke, congestive heart failure, chest pain, myocardial infarction, syncope, hypertension, and overdoses.Expect a high-acuity, busy unit primarily with adult and geriatric patients.Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy, among others.Special procedures are conducted, and equipment is available for bedside assistance.Proficiency in cardiac rhythm identification is required due to the critical nature of the unit.
