Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for PCU in Georgia. This 13-week contract involves a 12-hour night shift (36 hours per shift) with floating across medical-surgical and progressive care areas.

Expect teamwork, rapid assessments, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in the requested specialty, a nursing license, and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; CPI may be offered if not already held.

Qualifications

  • Experience in progressive care or similar units preferred.
  • Proficient in monitoring cardiac vitals and managing patient assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vital signs and administer medications.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to changes.
  • Float between medical-surgical and progressive care areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI (CPI will be offered if not already certified)

Must-Have:

ED RN: TNCC preferred, ER skills such as arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, and titratable drips knowledge.ICU RN: CCRN & TNCC preferred, ICU skills such as arrhythmia monitoring and CVP monitoring.PCU RN: Knowledge of cardiac titratable drips.Med/Tele RN: Basic arrhythmia interpretation and experience managing drains and chest tubes.

Description:This position involves caring for patients in a progressive care environment.The facility has a Level 2 Trauma designation and serves a diverse patient population.Common patient types include individuals with cardiac events, strokes, trauma, and respiratory illnesses.You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.The department emphasizes teamwork and open communication.You will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing comprehensive patient assessments.Support staff is readily available to assist with patient care tasks.Floating between various medical-surgical and critical care areas may be required.Orientation includes a general introduction to the facility and departmental training.Weekend rotations and holiday expectations apply.All staff are encouraged to assist one another and respond promptly to patient needs.A commitment to patient safety and quality care is essential in this role.
