Description:Seeking a PCU/Step Down Float Registered Nurse for a night shift.The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients in various units, including those needing telemetry and medical-surgical support.The role involves managing patients with diverse diagnoses, including patients boarded from the emergency room.Nurse-to-patient ratios will vary between 1:4 and 1:6 based on unit acuity.Responsibilities include cardiac telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias.The clinician will assist in isolation precautions and the management of dysrhythmias as well as provide nasal cannula and telemetry support.Additionally, the nurse will be part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with various support services such as physical therapy and respiratory services.Candidates should possess experience functioning in a charge nurse capacity, especially on smaller units where core charge duties may be required.Flexibility to float to different units as needed is essential.Providers may also be expected to float between nearby facilities.Refusal to float to required areas may result in contract termination.
