Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for PCU/Nursing stepping down unit in Minnesota. This 8-week assignment covers night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with patient ratios around 1:4 days / 1:5 nights, and every other weekend. Must have active RN license and at least 1 year of strong acute care Step-down/PCU experience.

BCLS required; ACLS preferred. Will float within scope to meet facility needs and assist with vent care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ventilated patients and charting system training.

Description:Ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:5, Weekends 1:4-5.Candidates will work every other weekend.On-call requirement is up to 3-12 hour shifts.Candidate must be able to float within their scope to meet facility needs.Candidate must be able to work M/S, SCU, and take an occasional pediatric patient.Staffing includes a total of 32 staffed beds.The daily patient census is around 12.Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy.Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, RSV, heart failure, post-operative orthopedic fractures, cellulitis, and sepsis.Candidates will manage patients requiring special treatments such as BiPap and ETOH withdrawal.Skills required include accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients.Experience with Nihon Kohden cardiac monitors/telemetry and Welch Allyn bedside vitals machines is preferred.Tracheostomy care and management, telemetry monitoring, and wound care management are also required.Candidates will receive training on charting systems.
