Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU assignment in Portsmouth, NH. The unit is 25 beds with a 2:1 patient ratio and round-the-clock support from mid-levels, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists. Shifts run 07:00–19:00, with 12-hour shifts and a 4-weekend rotation.

Required: RN license, minimum 2 years ICU experience, ACLS/BLS, telemetry expertise, and experience titrating vasoactive medications. Additional open heart/temporary pacing skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU with 2:1 patient ratios.

Description:The unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1.There are no LNA or PCT staff available.The unit is supported by mid-levels, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists around the clock.PT/OT services are available during the day shift.Equipment includes GE monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflow devices, Puritan ventilators, and Hemospheres.Documentation is done using the Meditech Expanse system.The scheduling requirement entails 12 shifts per month with 3 shifts per week and 4 weekend shifts per month.Floating is on a rotation basis with travelers floating first.MyCare boards are updated each shift during bedside shift report, which occurs at every change of shift.The unit holds multiple certifications, including a comprehensive stroke center and level 2 trauma center.Desired additional skills include open heart experience, temporary pacing, and Swan-Ganz catheter experience.Procedures performed on the unit include intubation, central line, and arterial line placement, as well as chest tube placement.
