Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week RN - PCU travel assignment in Baltimore, MD. You will care for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries in a fast-paced 32-bed unit, with 1:3 day and 1:4 night ratios, under a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in cardiac open heart recovery, strong surgical intermediate care experience, and travel nursing history. BLS required; CC and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac open heart recovery.
• Strong Surgical Intermediate Care experience.
• At least 2 previous travel assignments.
• BLS required.
• Critical Care Certification preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• Experience with high acuity patients.
• Experience caring for patients 1+ days post CABG, valve repairs, or valve replacements.
• Familiarity with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices like LVADs.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries in a fast-paced surgical step-down unit.
• Maintain continuous cardiac monitoring and assess for deteriorating conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Adhere to nurse-patient ratios of 1:3 (day) and 1:4 (night).
