Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a multi-trauma PCU in Englewood, CO. Night shift with 12-hour shifts; unit of 20 beds, staff of 40; patient ratios about 1:4; vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, and chest tubes are used.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license with BLS and ACLS, have at least 1 year of current acute care PCU experience, and are strong team players who thrive in highly acute populations and with Meditech EMR.

Description:Travel RN position in a multi-trauma unit.The unit consists of 20 beds and has a staff of 40.The night shift typically includes 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, along with 2 techs.Patient ratios are estimated at 1:4, with the charge nurse free of patients.Type of equipment used includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction devices, and chest tubes.Electronic medical record system is Meditech/CPN.Candidates should have experience placing chest tubes and managing trauma patients, including tracheostomies and suctioning.Ideal candidates will be team players who enjoy working with a highly acute patient population.The unit foster great teamwork and motivated nurses.There is strong support from charge nurses and techs on both day and night shifts.Physicians on the unit are described as wonderful and supportive.
