Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in Baltimore is seeking an experienced RN for CVICU to care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery and transplant procedures. The role involves 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios, 12-hour rotating shifts, and a 17-week duration.

Ideal candidates have current RN license, BLS, and proven post-operative cardiac ICU experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan-Ganz, pacing wires, vasoactive drips, IABP, and ECMO. ACLS and critical care certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current experience with recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting.
• Experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drips titration, level 1 IABP, and ECMO.

Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative cardiac ICU care with close hemodynamic monitoring.
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and life-support equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure recovery from cardiac surgery is optimized.

Description:The cardiovascular surgical ICU is an 18-bed unit.It provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification, critical care certification, and completion of a trauma course.Experience with electronic medical records systems is also preferred.
