UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill is seeking a dedicated RN to coordinate inter-hospital transfers. You will assess patient needs, plan transfers, and ensure smooth patient flow across facilities while maintaining cost effectiveness and high-quality care.

The role requires a nursing license in North Carolina and at least 3 years of inpatient care experience, with strong organization and communication skills. Onsite work with rotating schedule and 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
• Three (3) years of inpatient care experience required

Responsabilités

• Capacity Planning: participate in daily capacity management meetings and identify constraints.
• Triage incoming transfer requests and document assessments per guidelines.
• Coordinate with referring, receiving and transport teams to plan transfers.
• Assess clinical appropriateness using medical criteria and escalate when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication, even under pressure.
