Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision. The role involves applying the nursing process, assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and coordinating with the health team to ensure quality outcomes.

The RN will document care plans, communicate status to physicians and families, and participate in teaching and quality improvement initiatives. A Maryland RN license and an associate degree in nursing are required.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
Current RN license with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
CPR certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required on hire.
Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

Utilization of Nursing Process as the framework for patient care.
Assessment: compile data, perform physical assessments, identify priorities.
Planning: develop and update written nursing plan of care.
Implementation: administer meds, IVs, and treatments; document status.
Patient Care Coordination: manage daily assignments and coordinate with team.
Teaching and Quality Improvement: educate patients and families; participate in monitoring.
Professional Excellence: may serve as charge RN or precept new staff.
