Job summary

Mercyhealth is a major integrated health system in the Midwest seeking a registered nurse to deliver patient-centered care. You will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, develop and execute care plans, document care, and educate patients and families.

Collaborating with healthcare teams to improve safety and quality, you will support continuous learning and participate in quality improvement initiatives, while advancing professional nursing practice within Mercyhealth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• May require specific years of applicable experience per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with policies, procedures and state laws.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops and executes a patient plan of care, including education for patient and family.
• Engages in education and supports patient and family learning.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and shared governance.
