Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with interdisciplinary team and administers clinical decisions.
• Directs and may delegate to healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement for client-centered outcomes.
• Ensures care aligns with regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies, within budget and time constraints.
• Promotes professional growth through continuing education and mentoring of less experienced staff.
