Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and administers clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes; coordinates discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in evaluation of programs and process improvement for client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies; ensures safe care for patients and staff.
