Job summary

McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, seeks a qualified registered nurse to oversee patient care within the Patient Care Service area. You will monitor patient flow, adjust nursing assignments, and ensure high-quality care in accordance with hospital policies.

The role requires an associate degree in nursing, Michigan RN licensure, and at least two years of nursing experience; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (required).
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan (required).
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing-related experience (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related health care field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and modify patient flow within the departments to maximize efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.
• Adjust and allocate nursing assignments to meet department needs.
• Ensure that quality and appropriate care is maintained/monitored.
• Report, handle, and document patient incidents and safety issues.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, evaluation, coaching and discipline of staff.
• Assist with all aspects of patient care on an as-needed basis.
• Address and rectify customer concerns at the time of occurrence.
• Assist in planning and implementing departmental policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and physician information.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
