Job summary

McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, seeks a qualified registered nurse to oversee patient care within the Patient Care Service area. You will monitor patient flow, adjust nursing assignments, and ensure high-quality care in accordance with hospital policies.

The role requires an associate degree in nursing, Michigan RN licensure, and at least two years of nursing experience; a BSN is preferred.

• Assist with staffing, scheduling, evaluation, coaching and discipline of staff.
• Assist with all aspects of patient care on an as-needed basis.
• Address and rectify customer concerns at the time of occurrence.
• Assist in planning and implementing departmental policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and physician information.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Guides and mentors’ staff in daily activities and decision making for patient care.Serves as a resource to staff during the scheduled shift. Assumes responsibility for the daily functioning of the Patient Care Service area, in accordance with established hospital and nursing policies, procedures and standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and modify patient flow within the departments to maximize efficiency, maintain quality, and promote patient satisfaction.

7. Address and rectify customer concerns at the time of occurrence in a manner that is acceptable to the customer and the hospital.

8. Assists in the planning and implementation of departmental policies.

9. Maintains and promotes confidentiality of all patients, employees, and physician information.

Qualifications:

Required:

Associate’s degree in nursing

Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan
