Responsibilities

• Assess patient using the Nursing Process and formulate diagnoses.

• Implement clinical nursing skills, administer medications and IV therapy, initiate emergency procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with family, significant others and health team members.
• Document patient status and plan of care in the medical record; communicate with physicians and staff.
• Teach and support patient and family education; monitor outcomes and adjust care as needed.
