Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Texas or Compact/other licensure.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA/Red Cross/Military Training Network.
• Nine months of professional nursing experience preferred; residency required if <9 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate focusing on needs, rights, confidentiality, and cultural preferences.
• Maintain positive relationships with Parkland staff and patients; provide care education.
• Document accurate, timely entries in patient care records and hospital documents.
• Coordinate care with the health care team and ensure adherence to nursing standards.
