Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role requires directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for patients, with emphasis on age-appropriate and individualized plans.

Applicants should hold a Florida RN license, have critical care experience, and complete orientation and competency requirements. BLS, ACLS, and AHA Stroke certifications are expected; PALS may be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• RN – State of Florida licensure required.
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred; associates acceptable.
• Completion of unit and general orientation programs.
• Annual competency-based learning modules (CBLs) completed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per the nursing process.
• Direct, delegate and coordinate care for LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
• Assess patient on admission and ongoing status; document findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Administer medications per policies and verify orders.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.
