Job summary

Barrow Brain & Spine in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced office setting. You will collaborate with physicians and staff, perform nursing duties per established protocols, and ensure timely and accurate charting and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Current BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• At least two years of outpatient/ASC or hospital experience.
• Medical/Surgical or Pain Management experience preferred.
• EMR Athenaone/Athena strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and coordinates patient care in office setting per nursing protocols.
• Assesss patients’ physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs for care planning.
• Reviews H&P with patient/family and records in chart.
• Implements plan of care and supervises health care team activities.
• Delegates tasks and communicates patient status to caregivers.
• Provides pre- and post-operative teaching for patients and families.
• Triages patient calls and handles procedure orders entry.
• Assists with Pain Management procedures and OR activities as needed.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and quality assurance activities.
• Participates in staff education and quality improvement initiatives.
