Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a PACU Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrates our company's values by caring like family. You will ensure safe and effective postoperative nursing care until the patient is dismissed. Your expertise will help our center maintain its legacy of employing nurses committed to our mission and vision.

What you will do in this role:

• Prepare patient care areas and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks properly.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations using approved scoring systems.
• Check dressings and operative sites, reporting abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Create a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.

Qualifications needed:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS certification (must be in-person; online certification not accepted).
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification if required by the facility, within 30 days of hire.
