Job summary

Cool Springs Surgery Center in Franklin, TN seeks an RN PACU to care for patients in the immediate post-anesthesia period. The role includes supervising support staff and coordinating with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

Requirements include RN license and PACU/ICU experience, CPR, and a high school diploma or GED; ACLS/PALS are preferred. Competitive benefits are offered in a clinical ASC setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and RN license in the proper state.
• Minimum one year PACU or ICU experience; CPR certification.
• Demonstrated teamwork, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status in the PACU after surgery.
• Provide nursing care tailored to anesthesia and procedure performed.
• Develop and adjust care plans based on assessment data.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to surgical/ anesthesia teams.
• Discharge planning and patient education for post-operative care.
