Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc in Franklin, TN seeks an RN PACU to provide nursing care in the immediate postoperative and post-anesthesia period, assess patient status, and communicate with the surgical team. The role focuses on recovery from anesthesia and ensuring safe discharge planning.

This position may supervise Patient Care Technicians, CNAs, Medical Assistants and LPNs, and reports to the Clinical Director. Strong PACU experience and active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing and PRN active state licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with relevant PACU/ICU experience.
• CPR certification and readiness to handle post-anesthesia care.
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Organizes time, equipment, and supplies for PACU operations.
• Assesses and documents patient status upon arrival to PACU.
• Provides nursing care based on anesthesia type and surgical procedure.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates changes to the surgical team.
• Delivers discharge instructions and coordinates post-op care planning.
