Job summary

Texas Orthopedic Surgery Center is seeking a RN PreOp/PACU to provide continuous, high‑quality nursing care for post-anesthesia patients. You will monitor patient status, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy, and assist physicians with sedation and sterile technique as required.

The role emphasizes planning and delivering comprehensive care from anesthesia recovery through discharge, with teamwork across shifts and departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile techniques as needed.

Texas Orthopedic Surgery Center is hiring a RN PreOp/PACU

Welcome to Texas Orthopedic Surgery Center

We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Texas Orthopedic Surgery Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
