Job summary

USPI TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital in Houston, TX is seeking a motivated RN PACU to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia, with focus on safety, comfort, and privacy. The PACU RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation, and support families during discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.

USPI TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated RN PACU to join our team. We have 15 Bed Inpatient Departments, 30 Pre-Op and Post-Op Care Beds, 9 OR rooms, 4 Freestanding Breast Centers. We perform surgical procedures in Bariatric Surgery, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Podiatry, Spine, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, Ophthalmology.

Job Summary

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes:

• Providing comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
