Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU in Tampa. The role focuses on individualized cancer patient care using ANA-aligned ethics and a caring framework.

Monday–Friday, 9am–9:30pm, 4 ten-hour days, with a strong emphasis on patient and family education and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have 2 years in Procedural Recovery or Critical Care, a Bachelor’s in Nursing (or an Associate’s with experience), FL RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing.
• Active FL RN license or multi-state privilege to practice in FL.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire for specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care for cancer patients and families.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development in line with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
