Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN - PACU to join our operating room support team in Missouri. The role focuses on the recovery of surgical patients and requires strong critical care skills and the ability to manage multiple complex postoperative cases.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of critical care experience or trauma center exposure, a pending license accepted, BLS and ACLS, and comfort with ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry, and rapid response teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in managing complicated postoperative patients.
  • Handle multiple drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Provide care to multiple complex patients in PACU and recover from anesthesia.
  • No weekend coverage required; may float within the service line as needed.
  • Pass an EKG exam related to rhythm interpretation and management.

Hours per Shift: 10 hours

Experience: Minimum 1 year of critical care experience or experience from a Level I Trauma Center

License: Pending license accepted

Must-Have: Proficiency in managing complicated postoperative patients

Description:The role is for a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.This unit is focused on the recovery of surgical patients.Ideal candidates will have experience in managing complex postoperative cases.Competence in handling multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia is necessary.The nurse will be required to provide care to multiple complex patients.All candidates must pass an EKG exam related to the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.No weekend coverage is required.Candidates must be able to float within the service line to meet facility needs.There are no restrictions on requested time off, but it is limited to a maximum of 7 days.Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, along with proficiency in specific nursing skills such as IV management and telemonitoring.The environment fosters interdisciplinary support with access to respiratory services and rapid response teams.
