Description:This position involves working in a PACU setting.The facility serves a diverse patient population, including both inpatient and outpatient cases.Common diagnoses include general surgery, plastics, urology, gastroenterology, bariatrics, gynecology, neurosurgery, and orthopedics.Patients may be vented/ICU level, but intubated patients may occasionally be present in the PACU.The patient ratios are 1:3 in pre-op, 1:2 in Phase I, and 1:3 in Phase II recovery.Support within the department includes charge RNs and CNAs.There is a focus on teamwork, with all staff encouraged to assist one another.Technology used includes electronic medical records and intravenous pump systems.Travelers will float between recovery phases as needed.There are no weekend or holiday on-call requirements.RTO requests must not exceed four days.Professional attire is required, including solid color scrubs without logos.
