Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU role in Maryland. The position features day shifts in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit with 12-hour shifts and a 36-hour week, rotating between 2x8 and 2x10 hour blocks.

Eligible candidates will have a minimum of 2 years PACU experience, an active RN license, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. On-call duties include weekends and holidays, with potential crossover to other units as required.

Description:This position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.The nurse will work rotating shifts of 2x8 hours or 2x10 hours.Day shifts total 36 hours per week.Shifts will start between 07:00 and 19:30.The hours of operation for the PACU are 07:30 to 20:30.The nurse may be scheduled for any time within these hours.Call is required, which includes weekends and holidays.The nurse may float to other units as necessary.On-Call duties will include shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as holidays.The nurse will take call three shifts in a four-week period.A variety of procedures will be encountered in this unit.Skills required include, but are not limited to, airway assessment, central line care, and medication reconciliation.The nurse will care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.Compliance with safety protocols is mandatory.The position may involve handling various patient diagnoses and special procedures.Interdisciplinary support is available in the unit.
