Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Augusta, Georgia. This 13-week contract requires a valid RN license and at least 2 years of PACU experience. Shift is 08:00–20:30 with 12-hour shifts, and the unit uses Meditech for documentation.

The PACU unit has 15 beds, with 9 recovery bays, nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, and requires flexibility for on-call duties. This is a contract replacement in a busy, supportive environment.

Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).The unit has a total of 15 beds, with 9 used as recovery bays.The remaining beds function as pre-operative areas for burn inpatients.Patient ratios are 1 nurse for every 2 patients.The unit is staffed with 7 RNs plus a Charge Nurse.1-2 patient transporters are available during day shifts.The type of equipment includes a documentation system: Meditech.The shift schedule typically consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts with on-call duties (2 per month).Floating between PACU and other areas may be required.The department focuses on recovery from various surgical procedures, involving a unique patient population including burn, wound, and plastic surgery patients.Emergent intubations and bedside cauterizations may be performed when necessary.This is a busy, fast-paced environment offering a specialized unit experience.Staff members appreciate the supportive culture and managerial support.The region offers rich history and Southern charm, with numerous recreational and cultural activities available.This position is a contractor replacement.
