Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home nursing care for pediatric and/or adult patients, including G-tube, Trach and Vent support. Shifts include nights (7pm–7am).

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care in clients' homes with competitive weekly pay and full health benefits. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, adjusting plans as patient needs change, administering medications, and coordinating discharge

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state where you practice.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for clients receiving contracted services.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as patient needs change.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes for changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; monitors and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and identifies education, care coordination, and discharge planning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
