Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse who independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in alignment with physician orders and established guidelines. The role operates within the scope of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and requires an active RN license in Georgia and BLS certification.

Preferred candidates may hold a BSN and have 2 years of RN experience or additional Life Support credentials and specialized unit certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
