Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ortho/Neuro Stepdown unit at Duke Regional Hospital. This on-site role involves night shifts (7p–7a) and requires completion of an accredited BSN program with NC RN licensure and BLS.

A 12-month clinical background is preferred, with relocation assistance available based on eligibility. The Ortho/Neuro unit emphasizes fast-paced care, teamwork, and use of Epic, Omnicell and Pyxis systems to deliver high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited BSN program.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina (or compact state).
• BLS required.
• Twelve months of relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and document professional nursing care per physician orders.
• Provide care to patients and families with a focus on safety and outcomes.
• Supervise licensed and unlicensed staff; lead a patient care team as assigned.
• Maintain competencies and participate in performance improvement activities.
