Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, seeks a registered nurse for the fast-paced Ortho/Neuro unit. The 40-bed unit emphasizes enhanced recovery after surgery, working with a multidisciplinary team to discharge patients within 6–24 hours whenever possible.

You will provide professional nursing care according to physician orders, participate in care planning, and use Epic for charting, Omnicell and Pyxis for medications.

Qualifications

• Must have graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Current NC RN licensure required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Serve as a team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
• Use Epic for electronic medical records, and manage medications with Omnicell and Pyxis.
