Job summary

Duke University Health System, including Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, seeks an Experienced RN or NEW GRAD to join our Musculoskeletal Trauma Step down unit. We offer 12-hour shifts (7A–7P or 7P–7A) with weekend rotations in a 16-bed specialty unit, part of the new Duke Central Tower.

The role requires a valid NC RN license, BSN preferred or enrollment plan if not yet completed, and BLS; professional certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of clinical nurse experience required for CNII.
• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing will be required to enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete within seven years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Contribute to departmental committees, research projects or other health-related projects.
