Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking an Acute Care RN for our 3rd Floor Short Stay/Ortho/Med Surg Unit. You will care for a diverse patient population with orthopedic and surgical recovery, including joint replacements and short-stay surgeries, in a supportive, team-based environment.

This role offers a strong sign-on bonus up to $20,000 plus relocation assistance. Minimum qualifications include an ADN (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS for telemetry units,

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• ACLS required for telemetry units.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support patients and families.
• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients with varying acuity.
