Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Ortho/Med-Surg. This PRN role delivers professional nursing care under physician supervision and includes mentoring new staff, maintaining care plans, and providing patient education.

You will document thoroughly and uphold PHI privacy. The position requires ADN, Kansas RN licensure, and BLS/CPR; ACLS/PALS/NIHSS may be required per department policy.

Qualifications

• ADN required and Kansas RN licensure or compact state license.
• Current BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire or orientation.
• Additional ACLS/PALS/NIHSS may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under physician supervision.
• Mentor and train new staff and students.
• Maintain comprehensive care plans and timely documentation.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications, and self-management.
• Ensure PHI privacy and maintain professional relationships.
