Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics and Medical-Surgical unit. The role delivers professional nursing care to patients under physician direction and supports mentoring of new staff.

Day shifts are available at 0.9 FTE with opportunities for professional growth. Minimum ADN is required with Kansas RN licensure and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by department policy.

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience: ADN.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or a compact state.
• Current BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire or by end of orientation.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, AWHONN may be required per department policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients under the direction of a physician.
• Mentors, develops and trains new staff and students.
• Perform acts within the scope of practice defined by the licensing board.
• Evaluate patient needs and review/maintain a comprehensive care plan.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications, and self-care skills.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation per policy.
