Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ortho/Med-Surg unit on a full-time days schedule. This 0.9 FTE role includes delivering professional nursing care under physician supervision and guiding staff and students as needed.

Qualified candidates hold an ADN, current Kansas or compact-state RN license, and BLS/CPR certification. BSN is preferred; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by department policy. Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ NIHSS may be required per policy.
• Kansas or compact state RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients under physician supervision.
• Mentors, develops and trains new staff and students.
• Within scope of practice, executes nursing duties.
• Maintains comprehensive care plans and coordinates patient care.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and medications.
• Documents care timely and accurately.
