Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks an Registered Nurse (RN) in Orthopedics to provide patient care using the nursing process. The role offers a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 36 hour workweek and a sign-on bonus for experienced or new graduate nurses.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Licensure: Current Missouri RN license or compact licensure per state regulations.
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred and may be required depending on unit.
• Certifications: BLS required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
