Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an RN Team Lead for the Operating Room (Urology, ENT, Plastics) in Roanoke. This full-time, daytime role leads an OR team, provides direct patient care, and ensures high-quality patient outcomes across assigned areas.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia RN license, has 1+ years of clinical and leadership experience, and meets BLS-HCP requirements with unit-specific ACLS/PALS/NRP potential. This role emphasizes staffing, mentorship, and collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including leadership experience.
• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on unit.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution.

• Provide direct patient care and coordinate care for patients of all ages.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to staff.
• Participate in performance evaluations and development planning.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution.

• Participate in quality initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts.
• Conduct team meetings and maintain an accountable work environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure and accreditation standards.
