Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, seeks an RN Team Lead for the Operating Room covering Urology, ENT, and Plastics. You will provide clinical leadership, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality patient-centered care across assigned areas.

The role requires a nursing degree, Virginia RN license, and at least 1 year of clinical leadership experience. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, manage staffing, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical leadership experience.
• Current RN license in Virginia.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the OR team, mentor staff, and role model best practices.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate perioperative services.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.

How You'll Help Transform Healthcare: The RN Team Lead provides clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes. The RN Team Lead

• Serves as a team leader, clinical resource, mentor, and role model for staff.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe. For OB/GYN roles, EFM NCC certification required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage challenging patient situations as appropriate to role.

Compensation Range:

$39.00 - $62.40

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
